This moving observatory provides heavenly scenery with a price of climbing the “steps of hell.”

The steps from Busanpo Opening Culture Center Commemorating An Yongbok in Jwacheon-dong, Dong-gu to Jeungsan Park were called the “Steps of the Hell” among residents. Everyone may understand the name because of the 190 steps along an average slope of 37°.
Many will be glad to know that the inclined elevator has been running on the section with Steps of the Hell since March. The walls of the elevator are made with glass. So, while riding the elevator, everyone can appreciate the scenery of Bukhang Bridge and the expansive view of Sanbok Road in the distance. The elevator has CCTV and an air conditioning system. Its safety is also strictly managed, including triplex safety device.
Tourists who complained of hardship due to too many steps in the past can stroll Busanpo Opening Road far more easily now. It will be a unique Dong-gu tour course to appreciate the expansive view spreading to Jeungsan Park while riding the elevator.
