A textile factory called Joseonbangjik Textile (also called Jobang) was built on a large lot (240,0002) in Beomil-dong. The factory was dissolved in 1968 and replaced by the development of a community center, markets (Jayu Market and Pyeonghwa Market), hotels, and wedding halls and maintained the reputation of being the largest commercial area in Busan for some time. It currently competes against the commercial area in Seomyeon. The factory name Jobang is still adopted as a local area name. The festival held in Jobang hosts diverse performances, awards ceremony, traditional food market, and other fun activities.
